What is Cadet Basic Training?

Cadet basic training, also known as "Beast," is a summer training that all students that are appointed to West Point must go through. It's an intense 7 weeks summer training that teaches you the fudamental drills, military lifestyle, proper procedures to become highly alert, military tactics, and leadership skills. Each and everyone will go through numerous obstacles that correlate to the pernicious situations in Iraq. Everyone will learn how to assemble their M16A2 Rifles perfectly. Everyone will learn how to shoot, or "Zero" the target. Everyone will obtain that killer instinct like they are in the battle zone when it comes to serious situations. Everyone will sleep in a very murky, bleak, and cold place while his or her uniform is completely soaked either with sweat or rain. Everyone will eat myriads of MRE (meals read to eat) to the point where he or she gets sick of looking at it. Everyone will learn more about him or herself even more and see what his or her limit is. Everyone will find out if they are competent enough to endure throughout the entire Beast and finish it. Everyone is obligated to wake up at 5'o clock by the piercing voice that his or her cadre (leader) proclaims. Everyone will learn how to flush out their system (or feces or shi$) in 1 minute. To sum it up, everyone will learn how to think and act under great pressure. Cadet Basic Training will make sure that you become one of the best soldiers in the world that can set meritorious examples to the peers. That is my definition of Cadet Basic Training.

And you are dubbed "New Cadet" until after A-day. You are not an actual cadet until A-day is over.
